First seen in Uncle of the Bride (1985). Barry is married to Glenda and works for a building society. His surname has only ever been mentioned once - when he made his debut in the series.
After a lengthy absence, he has featured regularly during the most recent series. Auntie Wainwright sold him a saxophone in the episode The Only Diesel Saxophone In Captivity, which he enjoys playing.
Besides Glenda, the love of his life is his car. He was Ronnie's best man in the 1997 Christmas SpecialThere Goes The Groom.
