Stars are out for one-man show

Stars of BBC television comedy Last of the Summer Wine were out in force at the Cragrats Theatre, Holmfirth, last night to see colleague Keith Clifford perform Scandals - his one-man show based on the life of comedian Frank Randle.

A fragile Dame Thora Hird, who plays Edie, was at the 60-seat theatre, along with Tom Owen, the son of Compo actor the late Bill Owen and who also portrays his son in the series, Jean Ferguson (Marina), Juliette Kaplan (Pearl), Sarah Thomas (Glenda), writer Roy Clarke and producer, Alan J W Bell.
