COMIC star Warren Mitchell is to become a Christmas wine expert.
The star - best known for his portrayal of Alf Garnett - is joining the hit show Last Of The Summer Wine for their Christmas special.
And he is joined in the special by June Whitfield, another of Britain's comic greats.
Mitchell has just completed location filming in the Huddersfield area with the Summer Wine crew.
He is pictured with Sylvia Sutherland, of Holmfirth, who is the location and unit manager for the programme.
She helped arrange one of Mitchell's scenes in the Christmas special, with a water-skiing scene at Brighouse.
Mitchell, now 75, made the loudmouth Cockney Alf Garnett one of Britain's best-loved characters in the series Till Death Us Do Part and In Sickness and In Health.
His co-star in the Wine special made her name as one half of Terry and June, with Terry Scott, and is now enjoying another series of the hit comedy Absolutely Fabulous.
