ONCE he was a foil to Inspector Clouseau on the big screen.
As Cato, he became famous for his constant attacks on Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films. Now Burt Kwouk is taking on another role - in TV's Last Of The Summer Wine.
The actor, who is 72 next month, will appear in three episodes of the new series. Filming is now under way in Holmfirth.
Burt will play Entwistle, a nomadic Hull-born electrician of Chinese descent. Viewers will see him offer words of Oriental wisdom to his new-found friends. He will also appear in a Summer Wine Christmas special.
Burt was in two James Bond films - Goldfinger and Casino Royale. In the early 1980s he was in Tenko, a TV series about British women prisoners of war in Malaya.
