TV star's electrics will light up town

VETERAN film and TV actor Burt Kwouk switches on Holmfirth's Christmas lights at 6pm tonight.
The former Pink Panther star, who plays Entwistle the electrician in the BBC's Last Of The Summer Wine, will also meet shoppers.
Christmas's most popular visitor, Santa, will be making an early stop as he sets off in his new-look sleigh from Holmfirth fire station at 2pm before travelling to Holmfirth Mills at Hollowgate to hand out presents.
Holme Valley Business Association gave the celebrations a postcard theme and more than 200 schoolchildren entered a competition to design their version of the legendary Bamforth postcards for a display in the Parish Church.
