We have teamed up with PA Sport to bring you a series of podcasts over the festive season that look back at 2008. The 2008 Formula One season was one of the most entertaining in history. It culminated in Birtain's Lewis Hamilton winning the drivers' title on the last lap of the last race of the season in Brazil. That made the 23-year-old the youngest F1 champion in history and the first Briton to win the title since Damon Hill won it in 1996. This podcast will take a look back at how Hamilton raced to glory in 2008. It will include: An interview with one of the men who followed Hamilton on every step of his way to victory this year, PA Sport's Formula One reporter, Ian Parkes.

We have teamed up with PA Sport to bring you a series of podcasts over the festive season that look back at 2008. This year has been an eventful one for the England national team. They began the year under new management with Fabio Capello taking over after England failed to qualify for Euro 2008 under Steve McClaren. Capello's reign started shakily with the Three Lions failing to provide any sign that they would return to form after Capello's first few friendly matches in charge. The former Real Madrid boss has managed to slowly but surely steady the England ship, however, and has led the team to a perfect start to their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign. This podcast will take a look back at all the events surrounding the England team in 2008 and will include: An interview with PA Sport's Chief Football writer, Simon Stone. An interview with our Spanish football reporter, Mike Perez, who will talk about Spain's success at Euro 2008

We have teamed up with PA Sport to bring you a series of podcasts over the festive season that look back at 2008. This year has been a remarkable one for English football. The 2007-08 season ended with Manchester United retaining their Barclays Premier League title after a tense finale with Chelsea. The two sides then went on to meet in the Champions League final in Moscow in May where United eventually lifted the trophy after a dramatic penalty shoot-out. The 2008-09 season has been one of the most exciting so far with Liverpool making a brilliant start to the campaign while Chelsea and Manchester United will also be confident of lifting the trophy going into the new year. This podcast will cover all the events above and includes: A review of the 07-08 season with PA Sport's Chief Football writer, Simon Stone. A look at the 08-09 season with Frank Malley, PA Chief Sports Writer. An in-studio discussion with PA Sport football expert Phil Barnett and sports reporter Andy Hampson.

We have teamed up with PA Sport to bring you a series of podcasts over the festive season that look back at 2008. It has been a whirlwind year for the England cricket team. They began the year with a double-series win over New Zealand before being defeated 2-1 by South Africa in their next Test assignment. They have recovered somewhat under the leadership of Kevin Pietersen, who took over after Michael Vaughan's resignation, to beat the Proteas in the one-day series before heading out to the ill-fated Stanford Super Series. The podcast will cover all the series above and will include: A look back at England's progress with PA Sport reporter Andy Hampson and a review of the domestic season with cricket expert David Clough.

The Prisoners - Avenue Girl

The Prisoners formed back in 1977 in Huddersfield - and 30 years on they are still going strong. After a 25-year hiatus, the punk group reformed and recently played a two-gig stint at The Parish in Huddersfield. One of the nights was recorded live and the tracks may be available soon on the band's site. For now, take a listen to one of their newer tracks, Avenue Girl.
