YOU may recall that last week I wrote a piece about the National Lottery’s 15th birthday.

I never buy a ticket for the lottery. It’s a game of pure chance where the house always wins.

So I was a little surprised on Monday to receive an email from Prof Hayley Semprini from the National Lottery Board.

She informed me that I had won £850,000 on the lottery. I found it very strange that I should have won such a large amount, having never so much as bought a ticket.

But there you go, some of us are just lucky.

Prof Semprini went on to say that I could claim my huge prize by simply giving her my name, address, age, occupation, landline number, mobile number, country of origin and country of residence.

I wonder, should I reply? Hmm.
