MORE dialect words, this time from Joyce Binns of Oakes. Have you heard these before? Stalled – fed up or weary; to side – to put something away; druffen – a heavy drinker; leet geen – too familiar with the ladies; gammie – wonky joint; wallacking – a stake that’s not firmly fixed; sluppers – someone who is untidy or scruffy; warty – poor standard; mard or mardy – a soft or spoilt child.
