Denis: Dining out in Little Britain

Jerry Springer started it in the States and then we got Jeremy Kyle. The same show but without the humour.

It amazes me that the sad no-hopers who inhabit his programme, ever manage to activate their one brain cell to be able to phone a TV producer and volunteer for 15 minutes of fame.

“You do realise that your most intimate personal details can be ridiculed live on national TV? And that Jeremy may wish to beat you about the head with psycho babble while you sit there and look dumb?”

“Duh. That sounds good.”

And what about How Clean Is Your House? What sort of people say, send Kim and Aggie round because I’m an utter slut?

This is another programme that my wife enjoys.

The other day, she said with glee, “It’s great. There’s a woman on here who keeps her food in the tumble drier because her cupboards and fridge are too filthy.”

Give me strength. Is this Great Britain or Little Britain?
