Denis: Could this be your grandad?

HAS anybody lost a grandad? Or a great-grandad, come to that.

Barry Chambers of Lockwood found this photograph in a house he bought at 12 Newsome Road South in the early 1990s.

“I intended to contact the previous owner but, as is the way with these things, the photograph was put in a safe place and not seen again until I was looking through old files.

“Is there a chance of reproducing it in your column, as it must be someone's grandad or great-grandad?

“And perhaps, like me, they are in the slow process of building a family history.”

Any takers? It would be good to fined this grand old gent a home.
