Denis: Women who have a new wardrobe sale or return plan

Now I read that Asda has introduced a 100 days no-quibble returns policy.

If customers are not completely satisfied with the quality of any item bought from the supermarket’s very excellent George range of clothes – have you tried their jeans? – they will be entitled to a full refund, regardless of how many times it may have been washed or worn.

How very, very brave of them.

I do hope unscrupulous customers don’t pin up their receipts on a calendar and, on the 99th day, take that dress back to the store.

“I’m not happy with this. I want a new one. Especially as it’s Sarah’s party on Saturday.”

And what about those special occasions? Can you take your maternity clothes back?

Or how about a wedding dress? I mean, they are cheap enough as it is – a bride’s dress only costs £60. But after the big day, do you really need it?

It could mean that the unscrupulous need only ever buy one set of clothes and then change them every 100 days for a completely new outfit.

A reusable wardrobe. That’s even better than reusable carrier bags.
