RIP-OFF Britain is put into sharp perspective by the news of a five fold increase in British Gas profits.

Of all the excuses given for the sharp surge in energy bills last month, the need to pump more cash into the pockets of shareholders and directors did not get a mention.

With today’s announcement of the company’s results, it is starkly apparent why we are having to pay so much to the power giants.
