SMALL businesses are not the only ones who should be worried by the 2p a litre fuel duty increase due on April 1.

It will hit all motorists and families as well and is little more than a stealth tax.

Soaring bills for gas, electricity, food, water and council tax have already left millions of families struggling to make ends meet.

Gordon Brown should do the decent thing by us all – and abandon the rise.
