ALISTAIR Darling told us in his Budget speech – and it didn’t take a genius to work it out – that the economy is in for a fall.

But it will get better eventually – so we’ve not to give up on planning for more thriving times.

A breakfast meeting where Kirklees Council talked to builders and developers about regeneration opportunities was exactly the right way to go.
