Sooner the better

MOST people will welcome today’s confirmation of £8.2m proposals to improve our bereavement services.

But it is a pity that changes at Huddersfield Crematorium will have to wait until last and that work there won’t begin until April 2011.

If the opportunity arises, the timetable should be brought forward. There’s an urgent case.
