Sexual intrigues

LIBERAL Democrat leader Nick Clegg, who recently bragged that he had slept with “no more than 30 women” has been keeping his head down since inexplicitly feeling the need to inform us on that score.

His crass comment has hardly done his party any favours as it struggles to make a serious mark in politics since losing Charles Kennedy as leader, a fine politician if ever there was one.

Clegg could learn a thing or two from his venerable predecessor, Sir Menzies Campbell, disgracefully kicked out on the grounds of his age.

When Sir Menzies was asked how many sexual partners he had had, he replied: “None of your bloody business.”

That is the way to handle it, rather than make a laughing stock of yourself.
