Let’s hope for better times

ONLY a game? Not for the thousands of fans who follow Huddersfield Town through thick and thin.

Sadly, the season just coming to an end has to be marked down as pretty much a failure, where high hopes have not been met.

Manager Andy Ritchie paid the inevitable price for below-par performances by his squad which tested the most ardent of supporters.

The guessing game about who would replace him has been in full swing since then and now we have come to the names of Stan Ternent and former Town favourite Ronnie Jepson.

They take on a big responsibility as the club looks forward to making a fresh start in its centenary season.

Let us hope the “Dream Team” can live up to expectations in this high-profile, high-pressure role.

They will be expected to deliver – and quickly.
