Joke’s on him

STUART Smith’s conviction for offences related to flouting the smoking ban in public places is well deserved.

His actions were silly, pointless and misguided. It has achieved nothing. All it seems to have done is wasted the time of police and civic officials.

The joke is on him after being ordered to pay £2,500 in costs.
