Nothing’s sacred!

JUST when you think it can’t get worse, it does.

Pity today the poor people at St John’s Church in Birkby, victims of lead thieves who have created an enormous amount of damage.

Repairs costing tens of thousands of pounds will be needed after they brought the top part of the steeple crashing through the roof.

When someone does something like this to a place of worship, it shows no-one is immune from the scourge of law-breaking which is sweeping Britain.
