On wrong route?

JUST where did the Colne Valley taxibus service go wrong?

The theory was fine – offer subsidised, on-demand services and the people will come flocking to public transport.

The reality was that the service failed even to reach an average of just one passenger per journey.

Searching questions will have to be asked about a service which in theory was admirable and should have been a model of its type.

Were the schedules wrong? The fares too high? Was the concept too complicated? Were the routes wrong?

We’ll need to know the answers if we are to reduce our dependance on the car.
