Help for Huddstock

COLD weather put paid to the success of this year’s Huddstock festival.
An unusually poor turnout has left organisers footing some of the £40,000 costs themselves – and put paid to intended charity donations.
But they have vowed to be back for a fourth festival in 2010.
The dedicated team of three do an amazing job to stage the festival – not for profit, but for the love of music and to bring pleasure to local people.
They put huge amounts of time, effort and, now, money into Huddstock and the festival’s growth has helped put Huddersfield on the map.
Huddstock is a showcase of local talent and a great community event. What it needs now is to be given the financial backing required to make sure it can continue to grow and benefit our town for years to come.
