KIRKLEES is the heritage hotspot of Yorkshire – and many of us don’t even realise it.

The area has 3,019 listed buildings, yet many people who live here would struggle to name just a handful.

Our history and heritage is all around us, but perhaps we need to open our eyes and our minds more to really see it.
