DOG owners have found themselves on the receiving end of possible restrictions to where they can walk their pets.
And while it is a minority who let their animals run free, there are some who refuse to take responsibility for their pet’s actions.
That’s had tragic consequences for the pet sheep of a Blackmoorfoot family. One of the Broadley family’s sheep was savagely killed and another injured by a dog which was spotted running around the field.
The dog’s owner is likely to have seen what happened or have seen it return with blood from the dead sheep.
If every dog owner took responsibility for their pets, the council would not be considering enforcing restrictions on where they can take them.
And the Broadley family wouldn’t be upset about finding the body of a dead sheep in their field.
