A SATNAV summit aims to call a halt to those incidents which can raise a smile but which in reality can cause accidents and real damage to roads and bridges.

We’ve all seen stories about drivers getting stuck in impossible narrow lanes where they shouldn’t have been in the first place.

And all too often, drivers blame satnav for getting them into a pickle.

Now a Government summit aims to sort out the problems caused when drivers follow out-of-date directions on their satnav.

The reality of course is that drivers need to pay a bit less attention to technology and a bit more to common sense and road signs.
