KIRKLEES schools have certainly thought big to celebrate both the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

In years to come, 2012 will be a time that people in the UK will probably look back to with pride and to involve 5,000 youngsters from 102 schools in an event at the Galpharm Stadium is a brilliant idea.

What better way to do it than by showcasing the marvellous musical talent that remains vibrant in the Huddersfield area. The event will double as a memorable celebration of our own young people and the great pride we have in them.
