    WHOSE great idea was it to close the fabulous Kirkwood Hospice Shop in Almondbury at 1pm on Saturdays? I work all week and a visit to the shop was a treat on a Saturday. The volunteers are really helpful and above all they smile. The atmosphere is great. The village is busy on Saturday, especially when football, golf, rugby is on TV. Please rethink this decision. I have heard in the village several comments about the 1pm closure. Keep up the good work. Kirkwood Shop. The Almondbury shop has improved the village. Read
