Dishing dirt on dog owners

I AM an amateur Rugby League referee who enjoys officiating at all age levels at numerous sports venues. I would just like to say to those irresponsible dog owners not to leave their dog dirt on all sports fields.

I have recently encountered this a lot, especially on council pitches. It is not much fun for the kids who want to play this glorious game without diving into dog dirt, and let’s see some dog wardens handing out some heavy penalties (I haven’t seen any dog wardens, have we got any?).

Come on Kirklees, use your powers. It’s no good having powers and not using them.
