    AS I’m still recovering from a spinal operation I was unable to take part in organising this year’s Christmas lights in Marsden and the big switch-on last Saturday. But I must thank all those who made sure the lights went ahead, a wonderful team of volunteers headed by Diane Green, who works at the tourist information centre in Marsden and took on the lights project at a very late stage. Many thanks to you all. A meeting is being planned in February to set up a lights committee and I hope this is well supported. May Marsden’s Christmas lights shine out for many years to come! Read
