Hard line on Harold

KIRKLEES taxpayers are going to fund another expensive re-vamp of St George’s Square and Harold Wilson will stay. (Examiner Dec 6). You tell us Lady Mary, the Prime Minister and Barry Sheerman want him to remain in place. Nothing is mentioned about the opinions of the local populace. May I offer a view?

I was not living in the area when the Wilson administration was busy destroying the economy of the country so I do not see him through rose-tinted specs.

In fact, I have been hoping that some of the imbeciles currently stripping church roofs and lifting garden ornaments would ship him off to China. If it would not upset some of my best friends, not to mention the police, I would love to yank him off his totally undeserved pedestal myself.
