    IN response to Arthur Quarmby’s letter on Monday I think that this should have been triple scourges. The main one left out is ivy as no-one seems to manage this parasite. If it is not checked by someone there will be no woodland left for Arthur to walk in. Read

    I MUST congratulate Kirklees Council on the installation of the wind turbines on Huddersfield Civic Centre roof. As there was a good wind blowing on Sunday and Monday they were understandably spinning like there was no tomorrow, saving us many, many pence; or should that be pounds? But could someone please explain to me how, when I passed at about 1.30pm last Friday they were spinning just as fast and there wasn’t the merest hint of a breath of wind! Now that’s what I call free energy. Read
