That very special moment

I AM researching “the first romantic kiss”. Did it come up to expectations or was it a disaster?

Perhaps there is somebody somewhere who has never had such a kiss? Perhaps reaching bus pass age and still waiting?

I was amazed talking to a pretty 21-year old to be told she has never been kissed! Well, not in that way.

PS An updated version of Half a Pound of Tuppenny Rice, the story of the Deighton village shop where I was born, has just been re-published. Different cover, including myself in 1948, also Grandad at the doorway of the shop about 1900.
