Thanking the voters

I WOULD like to thank all the people of Holme Valley North (Brockholes, Honley and Meltham) in giving me their support in the recent Kirklees local government election.

I will do my best to work for and build up a relationship of trust with all the people in my ward to carry on the good work achieved by the Independent candidate, Clr Terry Lyons.

Thanks for the memories

WHAT a lovely surprise when I saw, in Memory Lane in the Examiner, Thursday May 8, a photograph of Miss Melissa Lumb in 1954 going on a trip to America. Miss Lumb was an old friend of my grandmother (they were bridesmaids) and I made an immediate phone call to my mum to tell her and we are sending the article to her twin sister in Nottingham.
