I WOULD like to say a huge thank you to all those people in the Denby Dale Ward who turned out to vote for me in the local election last Thursday. As your new ward councillor I will be joining the successful Conservative team of Clrs Jim Dodds and Elaine Ward. I would like to assure all the people in our ward that we will be working for you to the best of our abilities.

Thanks for the memories

WHAT a lovely surprise when I saw, in Memory Lane in the Examiner, Thursday May 8, a photograph of Miss Melissa Lumb in 1954 going on a trip to America. Miss Lumb was an old friend of my grandmother (they were bridesmaids) and I made an immediate phone call to my mum to tell her and we are sending the article to her twin sister in Nottingham.
