WITH no time to canvass, rushed leaflets, and many not knowing I was standing, and will be again, as Labour Party Candidate for Newsome Ward, I wish to thank all the community for their votes on May 1. What a fantastic result. I will continue working for and with you, as usual, making a difference.

Thanks for the memories

WHAT a lovely surprise when I saw, in Memory Lane in the Examiner, Thursday May 8, a photograph of Miss Melissa Lumb in 1954 going on a trip to America. Miss Lumb was an old friend of my grandmother (they were bridesmaids) and I made an immediate phone call to my mum to tell her and we are sending the article to her twin sister in Nottingham.
