I NOTICE that Members of Parliament are very keen to examine the highly-successful business dealings of British Aerospace generally, and in the Middle East in particular.
They say that all such dealings should be in accordance with the law (is that the law here, or in the Middle East?) and that arms should not be sold to organisations which might use them to oppress their minorities or attack their neighbours. Perhaps every weapon should be stamped “not to be used for oppression or attack”? And anyone with experience of the Middle East knows that nothing happens until all appropriate palms are adequately greased. That is simply the way of life over there. And something not too dissimilar is developing over here.
Take note that these same Members of Parliament are fighting a very determined rearguard action to prevent the disclosure of their misuse of expenses and allowances.
