In search of family connections

I AM looking for information about John Mason (b 1879) who worked as a textile merchant for Wilkinson and Son in Huddersfield in the early 1900s. He was father to Rex, Colin and James Mason. James, of course was one of Britain’s most famous actors and Huddersfield’s most famous sons. Rex had two children, Christopher (b 1936) and Valerie (b 1940) – they, or their offspring, may still be around in the area.

We are related through my grandmother’s side of the family. The Masons lived in Croft House, Croft Lane, Huddersfield.

Should anyone be able to assist, they can contact me at rd@megateam.co.za or write to PO Box 26870, HOUT BAY, 7832, Cape Town, South Africa.

Many thanks. Read
