Time is of the essence

I HAVE just used the Princess Royal car park. I paid for 2hrs parking at 11.36am. When I took the ticket from the machine it was stamped with an expiry time of 13:29 a difference of 7 minutes.

I asked for a time check from three nurses who were standing alongside my car, they looked at their watches, checked my pulse, told me I was still alive and agreed with my time of 11:36. Had I returned to my car two hours later I could have been booked for overstaying my allotted time.

This is unacceptable when those charged with enforcing the parking rules are so strict and inflexible in their attitudes. If I had been booked I bet there would have been no leniency or admission of fault on their part.

On a brighter note thanks to all at the Podiatry Clinic. I phoned them, asking for an urgent appointment at 10:15, received a time for 11:45 and was on my way home cured, well nearly, at 12:05.

Brilliant response, my thanks to all concerned.
