No supermarket surrender

PLEASE beware of the Tesco Juggernaut coming to town!

Just look at the mess they made of Brighouse town centre. The roundabout they installed is horrendous to negotiate at peak times causing traffic to back up all entries.

Don’t let this happen in Huddersfield – is there really a need for another supermarket almost next to Sainsbury’s?

Has anyone thought about the residents at Springwood losing light and a feeling of space, which would surely disappear if a sports centre is built there?

Then there is the loss of car parking, losing those spaces will not exactly encourage people into the town centre.

Let’s hope Kirklees Council will not be taken in as easily as their counterparts in Calderdale.
