Scum bags to blame for littering

RE article “What a mess” (Examiner May 15),. as an avid angler I am always picking up litter from wherever my travels take me.

I also frequently pick up litter from the street/road from around the area where I live and also where I work. Much of it is placed in the recycling bins after a quick rinse.

If folk took more pride in the areas they live and work then the world would be a much tidier place. The real problem isn’t the litter it’s the (for want of a better word) scum bags who leave it that’s the problem. The shopping trolley shown in the article’s picture didn’t just fly in to the river did it?

This leads me on to incidents like the murder of school boy Jimmy Mizen.

It seems to me that in today’s world, scum bags breed scum bags, therefore stop the scum bags from breeding and the cycle of death and destruction is halted.
