FRIDAY, May 9, was Europe Day and for most people in Huddersfield it went un-noticed. Kirklees failed even to fly the European Union flag on the Town Hall. There are three poles and only one was in use, flying the Union Flag (rather tatty looking, needs replacing), so there was no excuse for not celebrating with an EU flag as well.Read
