IN reply to the letter regarding the golfing range at Crosland Heath Golf Club, (May 8) the committee of Hilltree Park Residents’ Association wishes to make the following points.

The golfing range is nothing more than a shelter on the much-used practice field for the golf professional and his pupils, protecting them from the biting winds in Crosland Hill in winter.

A copse of trees will be planted around the small structure. Our residents have never been troubled by balls coming from the practice field, which is far away from the main road. If anyone has problems with other areas of the golf course we suggest that you discuss them with the manager instead of trying to incite others to complain on your behalf.
