Keep the sporting tradition

FARTOWN Pavilion site should remain for only sporting facilities and certainly not for a mosque or community centre.
Why don’t the council buy it, seek Lottery funding and transform it to get the kids off the streets?
I feel that if it is transformed into any religious building this would not attract all communities together and would segregate the next generation further and I am sure that this would not be the intentions of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.
This site has a lot of sporting history; this must be retained, along with the clubhouse, for all to socialise after events.
Come on Kirklees, do something for all the Huddersfield communities, not just one community. This plan must be rejected.
