Getting on with life
Jul 21 2008 by Our Correspondent, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
MARK MERCER of Golcar is to be thanked for his very apt letter about homosexuality (Mailbag July 16).
At last someone has been forthright enough to state, in a most balanced and meaningful way, what many people think, without being homophobic or discriminatory.
Let’s, therefore, hear no more about pink parties, gay pride marches, Mr Gay (UK) competitions, token gays and much misnamed gay “marriages”. Let those of this persuasion get on with life quietly like the rest of us.
As Mr Mercer says, public opinion has changed, the law has changed, so why do homosexuals constantly have to flaunt their different orientation to the mainly disinterested heterosexual majority?
