Disgust at the dumpers

A FEW weeks ago I rang the council to ask for my garden waste to be collected and was told that if I left the bagged waste on the pavement outside my house that I could be fined for illegal dumping, as the pavement was not owned by myself.

Three weeks ago a group of volunteers cleared rubbish and waste from William Wood which is leased by Reinwood School, so that a conservation area could be made to benefit the children of the school.

The volunteers worked very hard that day. On Friday I went to the school to collect my granddaughter and saw that some person had tipped their garden waste over the fence on to the bank of the stream which the volunteers had cleared.

This person or persons, obviously had no regard for people who work hard to beautify the place and to make the wood pleasant for parents and children to walk through.

Surely, if I was informed by the council that I could be fined for illegal dumping that this person or persons, could be fined for dumping their rubbish into the William Wood. I think it is disgusting that some people have no regard for others and hope that they will read this and not do it again, or am I asking too much?
