Letters: Unfair on ex-pats

Unfair on ex-pats

I HAVE had just about enough of the Taxpayers Alliance and their calls to stop paying payments to expatriates.

Most of these ex-pats are pensioners who have paid more money into the system in their working lives than people in the Taxpayers Alliance.

A lot are former service people who have made it possible for the TPA to behave the way they do. I wonder how many in this country actually support the TPA.

It is OK, of course, that thousands of people who have never paid in here in the UK or who have not worked anywhere as near as long as the pensioners can, from this year, get a full pension.

No, I do not live in Spain – but I know that in winter it can be just as cold over there.

Perhaps the TPA should be looking at all these people who get very large private accommodation paid for by us and who do not pay any taxes. Do you think the Spanish and other governments actually help our ex-pat immigrants out?
