WHAT a lovely surprise when I saw, in Memory Lane in the Examiner, Thursday May 8, a photograph of Miss Melissa Lumb in 1954 going on a trip to America. Miss Lumb was an old friend of my grandmother (they were bridesmaids) and I made an immediate phone call to my mum to tell her and we are sending the article to her twin sister in Nottingham. Many thanks.

WHEN Europhobes say we should leave the EU they forget to tell us a few things. Around four millions British jobs depend directly on the EU, with probably millions more depending indirectly on all those jobs, and we gain £100bn a year in trade.
