PRINTMAKERS have given art fans a sneak peak at a new ‘organic’ exhibition.
The work of four artists – Ruth Thomas, Helen Roddie, Sheila Tilmouth and Emma Lawrenson – is appearing at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop at 75A Huddersfield Road, Mirfield.
The group of printers have launched a joint exhibition with the theme ‘the mechanics of printmaking to depict organic forms.’
Their ‘organic’ prints were unveiled last Saturday and are now on display until the end of the month.
Some of the prints by Sheila Tilmouth were completed at rural residencies in Cumbria and Norfolk.
Sheila, whose artwork about the Fen Raft Spider is due to be shown at the Natural History Museum later this year, will be giving an artist talk about the two residencies this Sunday from 11am -1pm.
The tickets for the talk are £5 but are free to West Yorkshire Print Workshop members and Kirklees residents aged 55 and over. Booking is essential. Phone WYPW on 01924 497646 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
