A group of 22 young dancers from all over Yorkshire, among them Huddersfield performer Elliott Augustine, will take to the stage in a production of Lord of the Flies at the Bradford Alhambra next week.

The show, which can be seen from December 3 to 6, is an adaptation of the classic novel by William Golding and features the professional New Adventures touring dance company in a Re:Bourne production, directed by Matthew Bourne.

Re:Bourne projects aim to involve young people and their families in the experience of dance, many for the first time in their lives. Lord of the Flies is appearing in 13 cities across the UK and at each one auditions have been held for youngsters to join the cast.

Elliott Augustine, 20, from Newsome is one of the older participants in the Bradford show, which involves boys and young men from the age of 10 to 22.
