International performer, organist and singer Jon Smith, will be at the console of the Rex Cinema on Sunday, April 20.

A professional musician for more than 25 years, John began giving public performances when he was just 11 years old and has played to audiences as far afield as Toronto and Barbados. He has worked in some of the top cabaret venues and spent summer seasons on the East coast and Isle of Wight. He is now based in Nottinghamshire.

Jon’s expertise was called upon to help develop the first digital organ for German company Hohner. He is also a recording artiste and recently released a CD entitled Some Enchanted Evening.

His concerts are an eclectic mix of music for all tastes, from pop and classical to jazz and theatre organ.

Admission to the concert, which started at 2.30 and lasts around two hours, is £5 for all seats.
