What little dramas go on behind the scenes at the opera?

A new photographic exhibition, Behind the Curtain, unveils the hidden moments from backstage corridors and dressing rooms at one of the country’s largest touring opera companies.

Yorkshire-based photographer Tom Arber spent a week in residence with Opera North as the company prepared for its new autumn and winter production of Verdi’s much-loved La Traviata. The images he captured – from principal singers to costume dressers and stage technicians – are now on show at the White Cloth Gallery in Leeds and can be seen until February 1, 2015.
